Also included in the cruise fare are gratuities. So tipping is not required or expected. However, we would recommend tipping staff who go the extra mile. For example, if they arranging a cocktail party in your suite (which they are happy to do).

Silver Whisper dress code

A single word can describe the dress code on Silver Whisper: Elegant. Shipboard attire ranges from casual to formal depending on the time of day.

In the luxury cruise ship’s public areas smart resort-wear is recommended during the day. After dark the dress code will be either casual, informal or formal. The daily Chronicle newsletter will indicate this.

For gentlemen casual attire includes open-neck shirts and slacks, for women it’s pants, blouses, skirts and casual dresses.

Informal wear includes jackets for gentlemen (tie optional) and dresses or pantsuits for ladies.

The number of casual, informal and formal nights will depend on the length of your Silver Whisper cruise. Cruises of less than 10 days have one formal night, cruises between 10 and 13 days have two, while longer cruises have three formal evenings.
