Royal Caribbean’s huge Allure of the Seas is back in the water and based in the Mediterranean after an 18-day dry dock renovation.
The 5,400 passenger ship has received a bunch of new suites and restaurants as well as a smartening up of public spaces.
The 10 new suites onboard include 2 Grand Suites, 2 Royal Suites and 2 Royal Family Suites. Guests in these rooms have an expanded range of exclusive amenities including access to a new lounge, sun deck and eatery known as Coastal Kitchen.
The Allure of the Seas now boasts 18 restaurants including a handful of new additions like Sabor Taqueria & Tequila Bar which promises a tempting range of authentic Mexican dishes accompanied by sangrias and margaritas. Other restaurants have emerged anew from the dry dock renovations – the former Izumi Japanese eatery has been relaunched as Izumi Hibachi & Sushi, specialising in teppanyaki and sushi.
Allure of the Seas Mediterranean season will be based in Barcelona until October 2015. It will then return to Florida and the Caribbean.
